Before signing a mobile phone contract, check out these tips
Mobile phone contracts generally last for 12 months or 24 months, depending on which company you select. The idea is that you pay a fixed minimum rate every month, and at the end of the contract, you have ‘paid off’ your mobile phone. However, there are some important details that you need to consider before choosing your contract. Number one, you need to be confident that you can pay the minimum amount for the duration of the contract. Another important thing to consider is how much ‘credit’ is included in this rate. Are there a certain number of free ‘minutes’ or text messages included? Do you have to pay for any calls made on top of the minimum rate? Something else you must check out is the rate of the calls. It is important to know how much you will be paying per minute with the contract, and the peak and off-peak times.
